Why should I donate to Camp Fatima? 

We recognize that every donation decision you make is a very personal one. We are happy to share with you what other donors have told us are their reasons for prioritizing their donation to Camp Fatima. All programs are free-of-charge for campers, and it is an all-volunteer staff. Therefore, 100% of the proceeds go directly to the youth and adults with disabilities. To ensure a spectacular program, Camp Fatima relies on donors like you to make magic happen. 

Is Camp Fatima an official non-profit organization?

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and regularly file our audited Form 990 to the IRS.  IRS Tax ID: 23-7149909

What does my donation pay for?

100% of your donation goes to programmatic elements such as camper materials, campsite rentals, all meals and beverages, insurance coverage, and activities.

Do campers pay for Camp?

We have always provided our programs free-of-charge for all attendees. As a result, a camper’s or their family’s ability to contribute financially to Camp has never factored into their acceptance into our programs.

Are staff paid at Camp Fatima?

No. Camp Fatima is an all-volunteer organization; however, we do pay for specific professional services.  

Can you provide details for my company’s matching program?

Yes, please email: fundraising@campfatimanj.org with your company’s requirements and we will be happy to assist you in increasing your donation using a matching program. 

Can I receive a donation receipt for my taxes?

All donations received by Camp Fatima are recognized in accordance with IRS regulations.

Can I donate supplies instead of money?

Prior to each program’s start date (usually in March, June and again in September) staff heads create an Amazon wish list which will allow you to select EXACTLY the item you would like to donate. Please be sure to include your name on the gift receipt so we can “thank you” for your gift! Also, be sure to follow us on social media so you can see the items in action. I want to host an event that benefits Camp. How do I do that??

You can host a fundraiser or event that benefits camp! A benefitting fundraiser means the fundraiser is being organized and controlled by a volunteer or an outside organization. Our organization will not have any control over the event and do not absorb liability. We are absolutely thrilled to hear about these types of fundraisers. All marketing materials must include the camp logo and the phrase, “This event benefits Camp Fatima NJ. For more information, please visit: www.campfatimanj.org.” The marketing team is happy to consult on any fundraising efforts benefitting Camp Fatima in order to make your event a success! If you are planning an event, please reach out to marketing@campfatimanj.org and fundraising@campfatimanj.org, as soon as possible, for collateral materials or marketing suggestions. After your event, please send us photos and a write-up so we can post to all social media outlets and highlight your awesome efforts.
