On Wednesday, May 22nd, the Laundromat Speakeasy in Morristown was packed with close to 300 friends of Camp Fatima of New Jersey, Fatima families, volunteers, former campers, karaoke lovers, and new faces that were unfamiliar with Camp — all for Karaoke for a Cause!

Today, there are hundreds of people who now can say they’ve experienced a little bit of Fatimagic: $12,492 (and counting) has been raised for Camp Fatima by Karaoke for a Cause.

Karaoke for a Cause was started 9 years ago by two friends: Christina Alamo and Jenna Rocca Castano. This year, through referrals, they chose Camp Fatima of New Jersey to be their cause and recipient of all the funds raised.

At the event, there was a delicious catered buffet included with the $20 entry donation, tons of raffle prizes, a 50/50 and $250 money tree. One of our campers rocked out at karaoke, and later we sang the Camp song.

Popcorn for the People was also on hand with their gourmet popcorn. They provide meaningful employment for adults on the autism spectrum.

A great time was had by all, but the fun doesn’t have to end – Karaoke for a Cause will be accepting donations until Wednesday, May 29th via Venmo (@KaraokeForACause QR code for Venmo below), cash or checks made out to Camp Fatima of NJ sent to:
