We are now recruiting for a new Programs Director on the board.

Our ideal candidate would be someone who has been a longer term volunteer during adult weekends or summer camp . This would include “alumni” who are not currently an active volunteer in any of these programs. Job purpose

  • To develop and execute programs which support our mission and most effectively serve our campers and their families
  • To ensure that the camp programs meet or exceed all external legal and regulatory requirements as well as all internal policies and procedures and By-Laws
  • To lead and direct all camp program’s directors and subcommittees in regards to campers, volunteers and operating budgets

Duties and responsibilities

  • Recommend the vision, strategy and operating plan for all camper programs
  • Responsible for the delivery and overall success of each program
  • Be the primary go between for the Board and all Camp programs
  • Document and disseminate updates to processes and information for camps
  • Oversee all camper/volunteer application and acceptance processes
  • Collect, review and incorporate feedback from volunteers and camper families
  • When necessary, in collaboration with Marketing develop communication to provide information for campers, volunteers and other constituents
  • Establish written clearly defined roles and expectations for Camp Directors
  • Conduct and write performance reviews for each Camp Director
  • Establish measurement matrix for all volunteers to ensure quality personnel and a feedback loop
  • Subject matter expert of rules and regulations for operating a summer camp in the State of New Jersey
    • In concert with the Governance Director of the Board, review annually the State regulations
  • Develop and present an annual timeline for all Camp Programs and deadlines for accomplishing goals
  • Annually request and screen applications for directors for all programs
  • Negotiate contracts with campsite owners to meet program needs
  • Present an annual budget for approval by Board for all camp programs
  • Present a minimum staffing needs matrix annually in order to staff appropriately
  • Review and identify other possible campsite options to meet possible future needs( Every other year)


    • At least 10 years’ experience in a supervisory or management position.
    • Proven experience as program director or other managerial position
    • Demonstrated business acumen with a strategic ability
    • 5 years recent attendance in one or multiple programs of Camp Fatima.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Special Ed, Education, Camp Management, Outdoor Recreation, Recreational Leadership, or Management
